BBC2 'Top Gear' go motorhome racing |
|
BBC 2 Top Gear TV programme feature 'motorhome' racing We were delighted to see the Beeb's own car entertainment programme tackling the serious issue of campervan and motorhome testing for the first time tonight (Sunday 18th November 2007), but we weren't expecting to see them racing! We would lead you to believe that motorhomes are the campervans rather plump, spoilt and overweight cousins, so it was with a little delight that we watched a gaggle of elderly motorhomes (dis)gracefully disintegrate around an oval circuit. You can imagine, it all got a bit messy with all that extra weight, we've included a screenshot below for you to enjoy depicting Richard Hammond's huge behemoth shed it's sides. We did cheer as a classic cherry red Toyota HiAce day van squeezed it's way to the finish line as James May's Mazda campervan died after hitting a shelving unit from Richard Hammond's sorry looking motorhome. A good fight was put up by a 1980's Ford Transit campervan too. And finally, we can point you to the BBC's own official Top Gear website for a quick reminder of the fun. Top Gear should be offering some very cheap motorhome spares on Ebay tomorrow morning... Just another day for your average wobbly motorhome driver Top Gear give motorhomes what they deserve
